 Juror's Statement:

"I enjoyed seeing the personal achievements of all the ceramics done this year. Each student has left an unending gift to everyone who sees her or his work.  I chose the selection based on what I considered to be either very different, inventive, clever, witty, and unique from the ceramics I've seen in the past. My second criteria of choice, viewing the works, was when some inner aesthetic trigger was pulled- firing its optical transmission into the archetypical art recesses of my craggy cranium. Some might call it beauty or perfection. A moment of eternal recognition where proportion, shape, and color, merge with our feeling of the sublime."
